Chairperson Hilderbrand opened the hearing on HB2254.
Jenna Moyer, Staff Revisor gave an overview of the bill.
Pam Scott gave proponent testimony on HB2254 stating that HB2254 would increase the limit on the amount of funds a person can place in an irrevocable prearranged funeral agreement from $7,000 to $10,000. In the past, the KFDA has come before the legislature approximately every six years to ask that the cap be increased to keep pace with inflation. A request for increase was last made in 2010. (Attachment 1)
