Chairperson Warren called for discussion and final action on SB385.

Jason Thompson, Senior Assistant Revisor, reviewed SB385 and stood for questions.

Senator Warren noted the legislative history of SB385 and proposed an amendment to exclude juvenile offenders from the offender registration requirements. (Attachment 1) The revisor discussed the proposed substantive changes to SB385, on page six, section one by adding a provision whereby a juvenile offender would not be required to register as an offender.

Chairperson Warren called for questions and discussion on the amendment. The revisor responded to questions.

Senator Warren moved to adopt the juvenile offenders amendment. Senator Corson seconded. The motion carried.

Chairperson Warren called for other amendments or discussion on the bill as amended. Questions from Committee members were addressed. No additional amendments were proposed.

Senator Baumgardner moved to recommend SB385 favorably for passage, as amended. Senator Thompson seconded. The motion carried.
