Chairperson Smith opened the hearing for SB327.
Adam Siebers provided an overview for SB327. (Attachment 14) Mr. Siebers stood for questions from the Committee.
Kathleen Smith provided an overview on the fiscal note for SB327 stating it would decrease state revenues by around $4.8 million in FY2023. Of that total, the State General Fund would be estimated to decrease by $4.0 million and the State Highway Fund by $800,000. Ms. Smith stood for questions from Committee members.
Proponent:
Barbara Saldivar, citizen, testified as a proponent for SB327 as she was concerned about taxes and with inflation it was difficult to maintain a household budget. Ms. Saldivar stated she would appreciate being able to pay for something without being charged for hidden taxes like taxing on delivery charges. (Attachment 15)
