Murl Riedel, Legislative Research Department, presented an overview of the Joint Committee on Special Claims Against the State process when recommending payment of claims. He presented a briefing on the bill (Attachment 1). The Joint Committee on Special Claims Against the State recommended $2 million for payment of claims, as included in HB 2492.
